The studied intrusive bodies have penetrated Neoproterozoic amphibolites, mica schists and gneisses in the east and center of Muteh-Golpayegan metamorphic complex, in the central part of Sanandaj-Sirjan Zone and in the vicinity of Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic belt. Due to the deep normal faults formed in these transtension zone, Muteh rocks display mylonitic fabrics and overprinted by cataclastic deformation. The composition of these rocks is mainly leucogranite and the deformation indicators are observed in the both outcrop and microscopic scales in this shear zone. U-Pb geochronology of 3 samples from undetermined outcrops suggest that these rocks have crystallized in Neoproterozoic (Ediacaran). Based on geochemical characteristics, the rocks belong to high-K calc-alkaline series and are peraluminous and ferrous granitoids with S-type affinities. Muteh-Golpayegan metamorphic complex is a part of Cadomian magmatic arc in which leucogranites are formed from partial melting of meta sedimentary rocks due to injections of mantle melts.
