The papers submitted to the Iranian Journal of Crystallography and Mineralogy can be one of the following types:
1. Original scientific-research article,
2. Review article,
3. Research note
The submitted manuscripts should have not previously been published elsewhere (journal, conference, book, ...) or not be currently submitted for review to any other journal, and not be submitted elsewhere before a decision is made by this journal. As approved by the evaluation committee of scientific journals at the Ministry of Sciences, Research and Technology of Iran (May 2019), this journal is permitted to publish only two papers per year from the same author, once as the corresponding author and once more as a co-author.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two specialized reviewers. The papers accepted by two reviewers and approved by the editorial board of the journal will be published. A paper approval (from submission to final acceptance) takes between 2 to 4 months.
Before submission, authors are required to read the following instructions to ensure that their paper is prepared in accordance with the terms and conditions required by the journal for the initial assessment.

Publication Ethics
The ethics of this journal is based on the guidelines of the committee on publication ethics (COPE). Before submission, authors are required to ensure that the publication ethics of scientific articles are considered in their work and sign a copy of the Commitment and Agreement Letter.  For the ethics of this journal, see the Publication Ethics in the Journal Info section, and for more information about the COPE principles refer to https://publicationethics.org/.

Review Process
The review process of manuscripts submitted to this journal includes two main stages: initial screening by the editorial board and then, in the condition of their approval, scientific review by specialized referees. In the review process of this journal, at first papers are sent to two expert reviewers, and if both of them approve the article, it will be accepted for publication. If the article is approved by one reviewer but rejected by the other, the authors modify their paper the revised manuscript is sent to a third reviewer whose vote determines that the paper would be accepted or rejected. For more information about the review process of this journal, see Peer-review process in the Journal Info section.

Principles of Authorship
All authors must participate in research and paper preparation and accept the responsibility of all the content provided in the paper. The names of individuals and organizations not directly contributed to the article but influenced the research should be mentioned in the "acknowledgment" section. In articles with more than one author, all authors should agree on designating a corresponding author (for future follow-up and correspondence), and on the authorship order. The corresponding author must upload the “commitment and agreement letter”, signed by all named authors while submitting the manuscript. The corresponding author will be responsible for all the follow-ups and correspondence of the paper (from the manuscript submission to the subsequent journal notifications). Hence, an author must be designated as the corresponding author who registers the paper on the journal website and has access to the journal account and the email to answer the journal queries on time.

Agreement and Declaration of Interests Forms
Before the paper submission, the corresponding author must upload the Commitment and Agreement Letter and Conflict of Interests Form signed by all named authors. With signing these forms, the authors confirm their contribution, the authorship order, the research originality, adherence to publication ethics, copyright agreement, payment guarantee and declarations of all interests to avoid their conflict.

 Article Writing Guide
The guidelines for paper preparation help the authors write their manuscript in accordance with the journal instructions. So, to save time and money, and to accelerate the review and acceptance processes, the respected authors are strongly advised to read the Article Writing Guide for paper preparation and submission carefully.
