Abstract

In this study, MNPs-Fe3O4 were synthesized, and the properties of these nanoparticles were investigated by FESEM, XRD, FT-IR and VSM. In addition, the performance of MNPs-Fe3O4 along with ethoxylated tallow amine (TAE) surfactant in crude oil demulsification was evaluated by bottle test. The combination of MNPs-Fe3O4 and TAE improves the efficiency of water separation from oil by 94% and reduces the consumption of commercial demulsifier.
