کانی‌شناسی و زمین‌دما-فشارسنجی پریدوتیت‌ها در مجموعه افیولیتی مریوان – کامیاران به عنوان بخشی از افیولیت‌های نئوتتیس در رشته‌کوه زاگرس، غرب ایران، بررسی شد. نمونه‌های مورد بررسی شامل انواع پریدوتیت‌های گوشته‌ای ‌و پوسته‌ای هستند. نتایج ریزپردازش الکترونی پریدوتیت‌ها نشان می­دهد که الیوین از نوع فورستریت (Fo88 - Fo92)، کلینوپیروکسن از نوع اوژیت دیوپسیدی (En48-56 Fs3-6 Wo39-49) و ارتوپیروکسن از نوع انستاتیت (En90-91). عدد کرم (Cr#) و عدد آلومینیم (Al#) در اسپینل‌های پریدوتیت‌های گوشته‌ای به ترتیب 33-59 و 41-67 هستند. Cr# و Al# در اسپینل‌های پریدوتیت‌های پوسته‌ای نیز بترتیب 67-98 و 2-32 هستند. محاسبات زمین‌دما-فشارسنجی برای پریدوتیت‌های گوشته‌ای دمای متوسط 1100 درجه سانتی‌گراد و فشار متوسط 14 کیلوبار را نشان می‌دهد. پریدوتیت‌های پوسته‌ای در دمای900 درجه سانتی‌گراد و فشار 7 کیلوبار تشکیل شده‌اند. دو ترکیب شیمیایی متمایز برای کانی‌های پریدوتیت‌های گوشته‌ای افزون بر تأکید بر وجود دو نوع پریدوتیت گوشته‌ای در منطقه، بیانگر احتمال اثر برهمکنش مذاب-سنگ بر پریدوتیت‌های گوشته‌ای منطقه است.
