در این پژوهش، نانوذرات وانادات بیسموت (BiVO4) به‌روش هم‌رسوبی در دمای تکلیس 600 درجه سانتی‌گراد ساخته ‌شدند. برای مشخصه­یابی نانوذرات از پراش پرتو ایکس، میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی گسیل میدانی، طیف­نگاری پراکندگی انرژی پرتو ایکس، طیف­سنجی تبدیل فوریه فروسرخ و طیف­سنجی جذبی مرئی - فرابنفش استفاده شد. الگوی پراش پرتو ایکس تأییدکننده ساختار تک‌میل این نانوذرات است. بررسی جذب مرئی - فرابنفش ماده نشان داد که گاف نواری اپتیکی آن در گستره نور مرئی قرار دارد. فعالیت فوتوکاتالیزوری نانوذرات توسط تجزیه فوتوکاتالیزوری رنگ قرمز کنگو زیر تابش نور مرئی بررسی شد. بر پایه نتایج به دست آمده، این ماده گزینه مناسبی برای تجزیه مواد آلی با نور خورشید است.
