منطقه اندریان در شمال تبریز، شمال غرب ایران واقع بوده و از نظر جایگاه زمین­ساختی بخشی از پهنه ماگمایی اهر- ارسباران است. واحدهای سنگی این منطقه شامل توده نفوذی کم­عمق، رسوبات فلیش­گونه کرتاسه، سنگ­های دگرگونی (هورنفلس و اسکارن) و سنگ­های آتشفشانی هستند. در این منطقه، کانه­زایی به دو صورت اولیه و ثانویه رخ داده است. کانه­زایی درونزاد شامل طلا، پیریت، استیبنیت و کانی­سازی برونزاد شامل مالاکیت، آزوریت و هیدروکسیدهای آهن است. میانبارهای دوفازی غنی از مایع و دوفازی غنی از گاز متداول­ترین میانبارهای سیال در نمونه­های مورد بررسی هستند. رگه­های کوارتز واجد طلا میانگین دمای تشکیل 237 درجه سانتیگراد و شوری پایین (با میانگین 7/8 درصد وزنی معادل نمک طعام) دارند. فشار محاسبه شده برای زمان به تله افتادن میانبارهایی با بالاترین فراوانی بین 26 تا 51 بار برآورد شده که معادل با عمق 270 تا 550 متری است. براساس داده­های دمای همگن­شدگی و شوری، فرآیند کانه­زایی در منطقه اندریان با محیط فراگرمایی مشابهت دارد.
