مجموعه آذرین – دگرگونی نی­باز (غرب ساغند، شمال یزد) یکی از سرزمین­های پی­سنگی ایران به سن نئوپروتروزوئیک پایانی است که طیف گسترده­ای از سنگ‌های دگرگونی و آذرین را شامل می­شود. در برخی بخش­­های رسی دگرگونه این مجموعه می­توان شواهد بارزی از ذوب­بخشی، میگماتیت­زایی و میلونیت­زایی را مشاهده کرد. سن­سنجی­های انجام شده به روش K-Ar،  Rb–Srو حتی U-Pb بر این مجموعه و مجموعه­های سنگی هم‌جوار (چون چاپدونی، تاشک و زمان آباد) چندین گستره سنی از پروتروزوئیک پایانی تا میوسن را نشان می­دهند، ولی وجود کنگلومرای سرشار از قلوه­های گرانیتی و گنیسی سرچشمه گرفته از سرزمین­های پی­سنگی در قاعده توالی رسوبی کرتاسه جنوب­غرب ­ساغند بیانگر نادرست بودن سن­های جوان­تر از کرتاسه نسبت داده‌شده به مجموعه نی­باز است. بعضی از سن­های گزارش­شده نیز تنها می­توانند بازتابی از رخدادهای زمین­ساختی و زمین­ساختی دگرگونی باشند که در دوره­های مختلف، بر این مجموعه و مجموعه­های پی­سنگی همجوار تأثیر گذاشته­اند که از آن جمله می­توان به دگرگونی در ژوراسیک میانی و فعالیت­های ماگمایی در ائوسن تا میوسن اشاره کرد. براساس شواهد منطقه­ای و روابط صحرایی، گستره زمانی570 تا 530 میلیون سال پیش با واقعیت­های زمین‌شناسی منطقه­ای بیشتر همخوانی دارد. رخدادهای این گستره زمانی به احتمال زیاد بخشی از دگرگونی­های کوه­زایی کادومین بوده است. بررسی ایزوتوپ­های هافنیم گرانیت­های این مجموعه نشان می­دهد که eHf نمونه­های مورد بررسی دارای مقادیر منفی بوده و از 02/1- تا 87/18- متغیّر است. مقادیر منفی eHf با سرچشمه گرفتن مذاب‌های گرانیتی از ذوب سنگ‌های پوسته­ای یا همان گنیس­های مجموعه نی­باز (غرب ساغند) همخوانی دارد.
