کانسار سرب و روی بهرامتاج در 90 کیلومتری شمال غرب شهر یزد و در پهنه زمین­شناسی ایران مرکزی واقع است.
کانی­سازی سرب- روی در سنگ میزبان آهک­های دولومیتی پالئوزوئیک تشکیل شده است.
در این پژوهش، زینسین­­دولومیت به عنوان یکی از آثار مهم فرایند دگرسانی همراه با کانی­سازی بررسی شده­ است. زینسین­دولومیت بوسیله مقادیر متفاوتی از عنصر روی و مقادیر کمتری از عناصر سرب، مس و کادمیوم در شبکه آن مشخص شده است. بررسی زینسین­دولومیت بوسیله دستگاه تجزیه تفریق گرمایی نشان می­دهد که با افزایش روی در شبکه دولومیت، یک کاهش قابل توجه در نخستین دمای واکنشی گرماگیر دولومیت رخ می­دهد. جانشینی دولومیت بوسیله زینسین­­دولومیت برونزاد به عنوان قسمتی از فرآیند چندمرحله­ای کانی­سازی در معدن بهرامتاج شناخته شده است که با پیشرفت فرآیند تشکیل زینسین­دولومیت شروع و با دولومیت­زدایی مراحل ابتدایی ادامه یافته و سرانجام منجر به تشکیل کانی­های غیرسولفیدی روی مانند اسمیت­زونیت و همی­مورفیت شده است.
