در منطقه همدان، سنگ­های میگماتیتی با ساختارهای مختلف رخنمون دارند که ساخت لایه­ای فراوانترین آنهاست. کانی­های شاخص متاپلیت­ها مانند گارنت (آلماندین)، استارولیت، آندالوزیت، سیلیمانیت، کیانیت، فیبرولیت، کردیریت، پلاژیوکلاز (آندزین) و اسپینل (هرسینیت) در میگماتیت­ها حضور دارند. گارنت در هر سه بخش روشن، تیره-روشن و تیره میگماتیت­ها حضور دارد و دستخوش رخدادهای مختلف دگرگونی (پیشرونده، پسرونده و ذوب بخشی) شده است. گارنت­ها دارای منطقه­بندی شیمیایی پیوسته و ناپیوسته برای عناصر شاخص Fe، Mg،  Mnو Ca هستند که الگوی رفتاری این عناصر در آنها یکسان نبوده و عواملی مثل وجود کانی­های تک­بلور چندهسته­ای، شرکت یا عدم شرکت گارنت­ها در فرایند ذوب­بخشی و چند دگرگونی منطقه در آن دخالت داشته­اند. ناپیوستگی در رشد بلورها بیانگر رشد مجدد طی یک رخداد دگرگونی مجزاست و می­تواند نشان دهنده دست کم دو رخداد دگرگونی باشد.
