چکیده:   (3261 مشاهده)
کانسار گزستان در 185 کیلومتری یزد در کمربند فلززایی بافق – پشت بادام  از سنگ‌های کربناتی، شیل، توف، ماسه‌سنگ و سنگ‌های آتشفشانی مربوط به دوره اینفراکامبرین تشکیل شده است. سنگ‌های سبز با ترکیب اسیدی تا بازی (ریولیت، داسیت تا بازالت) میزبان کانی‌سازی آهن - فسفات هستند. دگرسانی در سنگ‌های آتشفشانی، شدید و شامل دگرسانی‌های اکتینولیت، کلریتی، سیلیسی و آرژیلی است. همچنین سنگ میزبان شدیدتر دچار دگرسانی شده است. کانی‌سازی شامل اکسیدهای آهن – آپاتیت است که با کمی کوارتز، پیریت و کلسیت همراهی می‌شود. کانه‌زایی مگنتیت و آپاتیت به شکل‌های مگنتیت – آپاتیت در سنگ میزبان دگرسان شده، مگنتیت – آپاتیت پیریت‌دار، مگنتیت سیلیس‌دار، هماتیت و مگنتیت هماتیتی شده قابل تفکیک است. همچنین نسبت بالای عناصر خاکی نادر سبک به سنگین (LREE/HREE) همراه با ناهنجاری منفیEu  می‌تواند نشانگر خاستگاه ماگمایی این الگو باشد.  کانسار آهن گزستان مشابه با کانسار کایرونای سوئد است.
